Custom Coiled Mechanical Keyboard Cable, USB Type-C Keyboard Wire, White Braided with Silver Connectors 6FT

I have a couple of coil cables for some of my mechanical keyboards, and they serve more as an aesthetic novelty feature than anything; however, they do provide some extra length and flexibility for wired keyboard setups. The Wenziyaxu coiled mechanical keyboard cable features a USB-C to USB-A extension, providing 6 feet of cable length–more than enough for most desk-to-tower lengths. The cable features a nice braided nylon covering, as well as metal connectors, which are both visually appealing, protective, and functional. The coiled cable provides some slack; however, I found this cable to be a bit stiff, but not so much that it’s impeding. I believe some of that stiffness comes from the reinforced cable braid. My other nylon coil cables are the same, so it’s likely an inherent feature of that type. The BNC type connector is the novelty piece of this. I argue that it serves no real function because it’s easier to unplug the USB simply, but again, it’s cool to see any added flair to the desktop workspace. Overall, this isn’t a bad product. The price is about the same as that of competing products, but is definitely more than a standard braided cable. Some of the mechanical boards I own came with mediocre cable, and this will help bring some style back.

I'm a keyboard enthusiast, and my desk can get a bit cluttered due to all the cables I have; plus, I love braided cables because in my experience, they tend to last longer. So, I was pretty excited for this one! The construction feels solid. I tested it out with multiple mechanical keebs and a membrane keyboard, and it worked perfectly each time with no errors, surprise disconnects, or delays. It's stiff enough for the coil to hold its shape, but not so stiff that it can't stretch out. I LOVE how it looks on my desk, too - very clean. This is a good one, and I can see myself using it for a long time.

I previously used a regular braided cord with my keyboard, but it was just barely long enough and left no slack when I wanted to pull the keyboard closer. This cable solved that problem by giving me more flexibility and extra length. I don’t really understand the purpose of the metal connectors mid cable since it seems like it could have been made as one continuous cable, but all coiled keyboard cables I’ve seen have them so there must be a reason. The cable is a bit stiffer than my old one, though once I secured it with a clip at the edge of my desk it stayed in place without issue. Functionally it works exactly as it should, and the price is much more affordable compared to premium options.

First: The white cable was dirty out of the box. I wouldn't care TOO much on a darker colored product, but this was right out of the box on a white cable. Second: I simply swapped out my existing USB-A to USB-C cable for my keyboard (Epomaker x Feker Galaxy80). This cable is the only element that changed... The keyboard wouldn't power up. This is on a powered USB-C hub with multiple USB-A and USB-C ports that oven offer power delivery. I plugged it into my Thunderbolt dock and it worked fine from there. Odd that it didn't work with my hub though - I tried multiple times. So, a dirty cable with weird compatibility issues... It's a cable. It's not rocket surgery. Can't recommend.

The cable I received worked right out of packaging with no issues. The cable was a nice bright white, no issues with it being dirty or seemingly used and the chrome/silver tips on each end are protected by cling plastic for scratches. I personally think coiled keyboard cables are superior to straight ones. They just look so much cooler and this cable is no different. It features metal coupling ends which helps make them feel high end compared to plastic ends. The screw keeping it together is nice and strong, no concerns that it will undo itself and even if it does, the two pieces connect strongly together even without the screw hold. The USB ends have a less superior cable neck than other coils I have. Unless your cables are under a lot of pressure from being pulled or pressed sideways it shouldn't be a problem but it is something to consider. I personally think that the price is a bit high considering that brand-name versions of these coils can be found for similar prices but they are similar in quality with name brand to be fair. You won't be upset with this cable if you'd like to save a few dollars over brand name.

Great quality. This cable really dresses up the desk for those who use wired keyboards. I'm a big fan of the coiled cables with aviator connectors and this replaced my old one. The coils are tight and clean, the connectors are solid and everything looks very high quality. The connector is the smaller aviator type (i don't know the exact name of it) but it fits together well and threads to create a secure connection. The cable is sleeved and a little stiff to hold the coil shape but looks very nice on the desk. Overall, highly recommended.
