Does the job, looks nice and saved money
Ordered one day, got it the next. Very, very good quality metal and assembly, better than I expected for the price. Had read other people who had bought this mount say that it didn't come with the screws to fit their projector and it was hard to figure out. The mounting to the projector was a little interesting at first but looking at some pictures on line and letting my imagination work, it wasn't bad. Reading about the screws and such, i had already stopped by the home improvement store and bought extra screws and washers for "just in case". ended up using the shorter screws and a few washers that I had bought instead of the ones that came with the until. Quality of the bolts, nuts, washers that the mount is built with is good, but the tools they provide aren't very good. The Allen wrench is OK, but the box wrench is near worthless, have a 10mm box end wrench handy for the adjustments. Mounting to the ceiling was easy enough. Finding the correct place for mounting is harder than the mounting itself. My projector is light weight and the mount doesn't weigh much so I had plenty of room to play, and was lucky enough to come near a ceiling stud, so adapted my measurements to use that stud for two bolts. I did use shorter lag bolt than the ones furnished, made the job easier. I think I spent about $3 on extra materials (bolts, screws, washers). Mount looks nice up on the ceiling even though it doesn't have the fancy covers some of the more expensive mounts have. If your projector weighs less than 25-30 pounds, there's no reason, so I thought, to spend more money. My ceiling is 11' and not vaulted, my projector weighs just over 6 lb.

It works great. I feel like this mount is good quality ...
I just installed this into a BenQ W770ST. It works great. I feel like this mount is good quality and fairly heavy duty. It didn't bend in weird ways or anything like that. It is pretty solid! My projector has three mount holes, so i had to play with it a little bit to get the attachment arms right, but once I did it is solid as a rock. Also the little spacers you need that go between the projector and the arms are kind of weird. Don't overtighten them. I broke one, but luckily because it came with 4 and i only needed 3, i had an extra. The ceiling mount portion worked well and was really simple to install. The screws are huge (which is great), so make sure you have a fully charged and powerful drill to drive them into the ceiling joists. The hardest part of the install by far for me was finding the ceiling joist. My stud finder wasn't working, so i tried to measure from where my joists are exposed in the laundry room and translate those measurements to the living room. I was about 3 inches off, so i drilled 3 test holes before i found the joist. It's nothing that a little drywall mud and touchup paint won't fix though, so not a big deal.

Epson 2040 Owner...You will need new screws.
Let me begin by saying this is a very versatile projector ceiling mount. You can adjust the arms and even extend them according to the projector's machine screw holes. I initially bought this for a BenQ HT2050 which I was testing out. This mount was easy to install on it. However, I had to return the projector and I ended up going with the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2040 (due to ambient lighting in the room). If I had a dedicated Home Theater room, I would've stuck with the BenQ. Regardless, I figured this mount would work with the Epson 2040; it does not with the given hardware. After some research, I found that the Epson projector uses M4 12mm screws. The Home Depot I visited was out of stock so I got #8-32 x 1 inch screws. The screws didn't go all the way into the mount arm and Epson projector but it holds the projector like a champ. If you can get your hands on the M4 12mm screws, you should be good to go with this projector mount. As for the product itself, it holds the projector well when screwed into a stud and it also allowed me to adjust the projector easily with the awesome pitch and roll design. Overall, its a good product that should work on your Epson 2040/2045 if you get the right screws. The rest is pretty straight forward.

Great projector with flexibility and accommodation of different mounting possibilities
I liked that this project mount which came with a lot of hardware including extension arms to facilitate the installation of a wide range of projectors. For example, I used all the extension arms for me Epson projector. This mount is truly a universal one. I also like this mount because this mount provides great versatility of ways to adjust the position/posture of the mounted projector, e.g., tiling/rotating/shifting, etc. Last but not the least, the price is very fair. Overall I am very pleased with the unit as it worked perfectly and the installation is solid. Hopefully this will last for a long (the material seems to be quite durable)

Versatile for any configuration
Versatile, it has creative options to attach projector. My projector has just 3 holes in a rare configuration. This ceiling mount worked perfect. Besides, the type of screws are properly selected (in my job I work with different types of screws, and every head type has a specific purpose). When I installed my projector, I realized of some other useful adjusting options this ceiling mount has. I am not going to elaborate more. Thanks.

This is a great product at an amazing price
This is a great product at an amazing price. This is one of those products that's 1000x easier to install if you have the right tools. First, you'll want to have a wrench for screwing in the very long M8 screws. Second, you'll definitely want to have a screwdriver with assorted-size square recess heads. Ok, now here's the really important tip that you'll be very glad you read when you go to install this thing: when you're trying to make the vertical tilt adjustments, the method in the instruction manual (simply turning the screws on the outside) won't work because the nut moves with the screw. But there's an easy fix for this. For each side, take the included flatwrench tool with the nut hole in it, and clamp it on to the nut on the inside of the screw. Then take your square recess head screwdriver and turn the screw on the outside. The wrench tool will start to rotate with the nut, but will quickly catch on the top or bottom, which will do the job of holding the nut stationary as you turn the screw! Just be careful with this method, you may want to wear goggles or watch the angle you're at as the flatwrench will sometimes come loose and fall/bounce toward you. I've seen other say that mounting the projector is a two-person job. At least if you're using a consumer-size projector and not the giant ones, it's very easy to do it by yourself. Overall this worked perfectly for me with an Espon 705HD and I can't believe it was so inexpensive.

A solid design that fit my projector perfectly and I am happy I purchased it!
I needed to install a projector onto a drop ceiling in my basement. I looked at multiple mounting systems and they were expensive, had plastic parts or just wouldn’t work with my needs. This QualGear unit looked good and I knew I could make it work so I went ahead and purchased it. I liked that the unit had some features that I appreciated: • It came with a lot of hardware so I would not have to go to the hardware store to purchase additional screws, nuts, bolts and other items. It even included spare extension arms to fit multiple projector designs. It includes spaces and washers and even large mounting screws for the mounting plate. I show these items in my video. • It is designed to be a universal mount and sure enough it worked perfectly with my projector. It is a BenQ HT3050. • The mounting unit is made of steel and it is ruggedly designed • It comes in white so it matched my ceiling and it matched my projector • It has four ways to adjust the mounting angles for the projector to make sure that it is aligned the way you need it to be. • I loved that it had a drilling templet in the box and I used it to design and build a mounting system that extended down from the basement ceiling joists to the level of the drop ceiling. • The mounting bracket is fairly priced, especially if you consider its quality and all of the supplied hardware that is supplied. Overall I am very pleased with the unit as it worked perfectly and the installation is solid. I put together a detailed video to show how the unit assembles and mounts to my projector. I also show how finding the projector’s center of gravity is important. My video shows the final installation and I think it looks very good. I rated this mount at 5 stars and I would purchase it again. I hope my video is helpful for you. It has been almost 2 years and i have had not problems with this mount. It is solid and it works well, just make sure you install it properly. We have used this mount every day since we installed it and it is as solid as the day we installed it. I am happy that I purchased it and the installation worked out perfectly. This unit provides solid mounting and allows easy adjustment of the aiming setup. This unit is well designed and flexible enough to fit multiple projectors.

Works fine
Worked fine for a BenQ W1070. Mounting options with the included hardware and this projector are virtually limitless. It fits perfect. Adjusting this mount to get it fine-tuned when you are adjusting your thrown image on the screen is a pain with the allen wrench. You can do it, it's just touchy and finicky to get it dialed in perfectly, because you have the nuts on the back side of the adjustment bolts that don't want to stay put unless you use the included (too bulky) wrench to hold them in place. I gave up and had to get a skinnier 10mm wrench to hold them in place while I adjusted the bolts. Once I did that, things went ok and everything stayed in position. One big problem I had with the hardware was with the plastic spacers. I had three of them break on me when I tried tightening the brackets to the projector. I was giving the screwdriver very little force too, and they completely shattered. I had to improvise and come up with my own solution to use for spacers. I feel as if it would have worked MUCH better had they been rubber, vs hard plastic. They would have been much easier to position/tighten and there would be zero chance of them breaking. This is a good, flexible mount, and it's definitely recommended if you don't want to spend a bunch of money on a mount. Because let's face it, once it's in place, it's in place. You shouldn't have to touch it after that. Getting it to that point is a little tricky though, so be patient.

Well constructed and comes with plenty of supporting hardware.
A number of nice features: - Lots of supporting hardware. Spacers and machine screws to connect to a variety of different projectors come in the box, as well as screw and screw inserts for mounting either to studs or to other surfaces. - Mounting arms have sufficient adjustabillity such that I was able to find a configuration that worked with my oddball Epson projector, which is only supposed to be compatible with special 3-point mounting plates. - A thorough installation manual (which helps! installation is fiddly). - Cleverly constructed to provide lots of angle adjustability. - Once you've hooked up your projector and dialed all the angle adjustment just so, you can still detach the projector from the main mount assembly without disturbing those adjustment choices. - Seems sturdy enough. - Pretty cheap.

Excellent mount for a great price
Great quality mount that has good options for positioning my projector, and an excellent price. Only issue was that the two main pieces were difficult to connect once the base was screwed into the wall.
