UTG Multi-Functional Tactical Bag
This is a nice bag, very tough. This design is very similar to the Maxpedition brand, but there are a few differeneces, and all are good. One is the price, can't beat the price. A second thing is that the material isn't has hard at the Maxpedition bags, which makes me like this bag better, and the zippers aren't as loud when you zipper them, on this bag. I always wonder how one is supposed to be silent when you need something in your bag when hunting, but then you open it, the zippers are way too loud, To me the Maxpedition bag would scare any game away. Over all I like this bag much better than the Maxpedtion ones. One person commented that it is more for the left side, not the right. If placed on your back properly it will cross so if you are right handed you can swing the bag over to your side, and will be able to access items from it, with your right hand. Maybe that person had the bag on wrong, and that is why they thought it was for left handed people. I'm sure it can be worn either way, but it works the best when used on the right handed side. Over all great product, will hold up in the rain and dirt, feels great on my shoulder and back, and I am able to fit alot in the bag. I also like the many pockets, and water bottle holder on it.So far I have been able to pack the following into it, and still have room left over for more: ipod touch, 2 small note books, compass, gps unit, cell phone, water bottle, 3 power bars, several pens and pencils, map, gum, chapstick, extra pair of socks, sunglasses, sunscreen (3oz bottle), small hair brush, small travel face cloth towel, Hand wipes, biodegratable TP, set of keys, bottle of eye drops, Wallet, sm first aid kit, Binoculars, and a few other small items, and room left over. I am sure you can fit a lot of hunting gear in there too, but I use mine more for hiking vs hunting. It is a great buy and great bag!

The size of a fanny pack, not a messenger bag. Poor design.
7/4/14I've used this a bit more and have revised my opinion downward from three stars to one. If I could still return it, I would. This bag's design is all gimcrackery. Wherever they could fit a pocket, they did, without regard to whether the zippers would close easily when something was in the pocket. The massive macho front snap closure is a pain to open and close: certainly not suited fast operation. If you don't pull the drawstring tight on the rain cover over the main pocket, you may lose items if the bag is turned over. The cup holder is too small to be useful for all but the smallest cups. The shoulder pad is too narrow and, as a result, rides up too easily along the neck. This is the kind of thing they sell to kids who want to look manly. It is not a useful bag.Original:Applying the term "messenger bag" to this is a misnomer. It is the size of a largish fanny pack. I was surprised by this, but since I got it on sale, I think it is worth the money as a replacement for a fanny pack that I've used for more than a decade. Construction quality is okay, but clearly not of the highest order. The design is both good and bad.. You can see where they grafted on pockets, such as the one on the top, merely because there was empty space. The main compartment has slim front and back spaces with no dividers. I had purchased this with the idea of using it for a mirrorless digital camera. It will work for that, being big enough to carry the body and a couple of lenses, but the lenses most certainly will be i their own protective pouches. A rear compartment is large enough for a 7" tablet, a compact Bluetooth keyboard a a 12,000mAh external battery. The bottle carrier will hold most smaller cups and bottles. The shoulder strap will extend to cover accommodate bulky winter clothing (or body armor). Clasps and buckles seem to be of medium quality. The bag feels comfortable on the shoulder, though Overall, the bag looks more like a case of form being more important than substance. But as an inexpensive (when on-sale) replacement for a fanny pack, it's not bad. But it surely is not a "messenger bag".Jerry

Semi poor quality
When I purchased this bag I intended to use it on a daily basis. I functions well and is well designed, however the quality of the material and workmanship leaves much to be desired. Primarily there is a drawstring nylon privacy cover inside the main compartment under the lid. It would only serve as a privacy cover because it seems inadequate as a rain cover. The material of the cover is very low quality because where the material sews to the inside edge the material tore away from the inside and eventually pulled apart completely. Not a big deal but not what I paid for. Lasted me about a month and I now use a Timbuk2 messenger bag. Good idea poorly executed.
