Comfortable and easy to use
I love these boots. I had some similar boots that I wore every day in the Army and while these aren't quite as good, they're very good for the money. Sizing was pretty accurate but you may want to order them a half size large and add some good insoles. They broke in pretty quickly. Once you lace them to fit right, zipping them on and off is easy. Zipper is secure and smooth. While they are waterproof in rain, standing water will eventually seep in. If you're inclined to stand in a deep puddle in a rain storm, you've been warned.

The zipper they wouldn't let me have in the Army.
I was looking for good boots at a great price that I could take off and on quickly. My feet are quite used to the military style of boot, and I was hoping these would fit the bill.Good solid leather(definitely looks like it could be spit shined), nicely built zippers, with Velcro strap to retain zipper handle. The lacing rings are mini "D-ring" looking and run all the way up the boot. There are hooks positioned half way up the boot right above the ankle to hold the bottom laces tight even if you loosen the top; they also give extra support and security in the ankle area. The top is heavily padded, and the foot area allows for the wearing of wool of cotton socks,(if you know your boot size from the military, these seem to mimic the same style.)They also have really nice leather ring straps on the back to assist with pulling them on if wearing gloves. Good stuff. I will update after I wear em at work for a while and see how they fair.

Not perfect but great for "casual boot wear"
I've had a few pairs of these boots. When they wear out after a year or two I spend a few months hemming-and-hawing over whether I should buy something else. But I always come back to these. They're not the best quality. They will wear out eventually. Namely, the seams on the side panels start tearing and the leather on the heels starts cracking. They're definitely not waterproof.BUT they fit my needs. I don't trek miles in the wilderness, do tactical urban operations, or have any other similar high-impact use cases. I just like wearing boots on the daily. These are inexpensive, comfortable, quick to put on, break in quickly, and provide that extra bit of support and protection that regular shoes just don't quite provide for me. They'll do the trick just fine if called on for an occasional hike or whatever. They're fairly subtle and fit well enough with most of my casual outfits, they even polish up nicely for formal-wear provided I haven't abused them too much yet.Overall, highly recommended if you just want an simple "tactical" boot and your needs aren't too strenuous.

Great price on a good boot
I've had these boots only a couple of weeks. I have worn them for work a lot of the time. They break in really quickly. I normally wear a size 13 but took the advice of another reviewer and got the 12s. At first I thought they would be too small, but they stretched to a perfect size in no time at all. Great fit and really handy to be able to lace them up tight and then get in and out of them with the zippers. Keeps them a snug fit every time. Buy a pair, you won't be sorry. haven't had them long enough to comment on their durability, but the seem very well made.

Comfortable fit.
These boots were a comfortable fit, but after 3 months of daily wear, the right boot started coming unstitched. The boots were not abused, just normal daily wear. Very surprised that it did that.

GREAT BOOTS
I have been wearing these boots for years as a SWAT operator and I even jog in them while doing the PT aspect of my training. I find them to be very comfortable. All I do to them is after wearing them for a few weeks and the leather has been worked in I usually change the insoles for a pair of gel soles. I would recommend these boots to anyone who will be wearing them for long hours at time and will be doing much running and walking.

Order a size smaller per reviews and fit was perfect!
Great looking boots, comfortable enough and seem like they will hold up to lots of wear. Recipient wears a size 14 but we noticed several reviewers saying the boots run large, so we ordered a 13 and ended up with a perfect fit. Thanks, Amazon reviewers! We're very happy with these boots.

After four years Not a fan anymore
Bought my 4th pair and they fell apart in 3 months instead of lasting the full year, as usual. SO disappointed!Old Review: After eight months they still feel good and have held up well. The ankle hasn't turned or sagged. I trade out the insert once in blue moon, because I walk a lot in these. They are better than my last pair and will probably see me through another Christmas. One year later and I am purchasing another pair now. I have seen some of the reviews and wonder if people are reviewing the same product or purchased a pair that looks almost identical to these, but is a bit cheaper. This is my third pair in four years. I do agree that some nice inserts make the experience better, and I wear them as my daily shoe choice with hikes that never go more than 2 or three miles at a time except when I'm on vacation which can be up to 20 miles. For those who wear them as a real "working" boot, they would know better about the daily wear and tear on the job. I am in building maintenance, so my needs are different. They don't have half sizes with feet as big as mine (13 1/2) so I tried a 13, but my toes rubbed the front, so I used the free returns option and ordered and 14, like last time. I'm a 6'1 skinny, 18 year old, and I still like these specific boots, in this brand. The other dressier looking pair my parent gave to me, were rarely used.
