I have a Marshalltown trowel from 10+ years ago. I remember being in the store, comparing it to a different trowel that was cheaper but more flimsy and less comfortable. I didn't realized I'd use the trowel so often for the next decade. It's still comfortable after 8+ hour sessions. You need to completely dry it or else it will immediately rust, but otherwise great. I haven't used this margin trowel yet but it looks to be the same (high) quality.

I bought this trowel for two reasons: because I have tendonitis and my regular trowel was causing me pain, and because our current dig site involves a lot of scraping. It fit the bill perfectly for both reasons. At our archaeological dig site, we have hit a layer that is required hours of repeated scraping--I noticed much less pain in my wrists after using this trowel. It is also a nice, hefty trowel, so I was able to move more dirt than with a teeny margin trowel or a pointed trowel. I'd definitely recommend this as an archaeological tool!

Awesome for tile work

I've been using Marshalltown trowles professionally since the '80s. I have not found any other brand that compares.

Got this to use when using a pre-mixed grout to stir the bucket as well as troweling the grout out. Works fine, although the corners are very sharp and it created little shards of plastic in the grout from scraping the grout bucket. It rusted a bit, too.

Recently redid a bathroom and retiled the floor and tub surround, to the ceiling. This was THE most useful tool in all of that. Helped greatly in scooping out mortar from the bucket, scraping the trowel clean, scraping mortar off the floor/wall, etc. Worth its weight in gold if you tile a lot.

Top quality. i buy this everytime i need one. as a tile setter the durability of this trowel and the thickness are just perfect. thin set and mud set won't stick to it as compared to others
