Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Bottle with Loop Cap

I was given one of these water bottles for Christmas, and then I turned around and ordered a larger one for me and one for my husband. They are easy to drink out of, they don't leak, they can go through the dishwasher, they don't make the water taste funny, and they aren't going to add to whatever toxic crud I'm already getting just from being alive in this country in this century. They are utilitarian in appearance, the holes in the lids make them easy to carry, and they're sturdy. Best of all, I don't have to feel guilty using them. If I had any kids, they'd be family heirlooms because they aren't going to become corroded, irretrievably stained, or outdated, and they won't get brittle or sticky like plastics do. 'nuff said?

This stainless steel canteen can be used as an everyday water bottle or camping accessory. In a pinch you can use it to boil water! That is an important feature when considering this for a bug out bag, or a regular wilderness/survival canister. THIS IS NOT A THERMOS. Not meant for keeping things hot or cold.

I love this bottle! It's perfect for replacing my weekly water bottle consumption.I bought this a year ago and it has survived wonderfully (even after taking many falls to the pavement--it's still going strong. It only incurred a few small dents here and there). The cap is a very strong plastic that doesn't chip or crack (remember, I've dropped it a bunch, full), and the paint on it also doesn't chip very easily, and definitely not from normal use. The only chipping that has occurred on mine is due to my dropping it on pavement or cement.The only CON I could see for some people (not me though) is that the opening may be too wide for someone with a smaller mouth (my girl friend has a little trouble drinking from it at times).I would suggest buying a long neck bottle scrubber/sponge so when it comes time to clean, you can easily get to the bottom.I would definitely purchase again!

I'm extremely disappointed in this product for two reasons- first, it arrived dirty. It had dirt and smudge marks all over it. secondly, smells. After I washed it one time, it still smelt like the ocean. After my second time washing it, it still has an unpleasant metallic smell. Even worse, it tasted metallic as well and the taste lasted on my tongue. The water wasn't really affected by the smell that much, but I just can't stand the stench.

This review is SPECIFICALLY for the blue bottle I ordered - my wife's plain, stainless steel (unpainted one) is a fine, four to five -star product. I'm not gentle, nor am I delicate when it comes to my drinking apperatus(es?). That being said the paint SEEMED to be pretty tough on this bottle when I got it but it's been flaking off after only several weeks in. And it's NOT flaking of in a nice, easy to peel, good-for-the OCD way either. It comes off on my lip occasionally. It flakes off on my clothes and in my bag. There's a little blue piece on my desk right now which inspired me to write this review.Let's hope there's none of it impacted in my innards.Stick to plain unless you like to handle a steel bottle the way you would a wine glass.Boo Blue!

I bought this for my boyfriend because he's very active and drinks a lot of water throughout the day. I loved the size and the color of the canteen and I knew he would love it! Unfortunately, not even a week after owning it, it became dented and chipped from daily use. It's definitely not as aesthetically appealing anymore and that's part of the reason why I bought it. However it does hold a lot of water and the top is easy to screw on and off and carry.

Tough as nails it's not gonna keep your liquid cold or hot but it will keep it clean.very nice bottle. A+ for what I needed it for

Was recommended by a friend to try this out and like it a lot. It's significantly cheaper than SIGG. Could not believe my eyes when I saw the SIGG price tag. And for a tiny bottle at that.
