It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! Amazing!!
Moving into a new home we have had some problems with keeping our bedroom cooler than the rest of the house. We purchased a few fans but that still did not help with the bedroom. I really like the curtains we have and did not want to replace them with blackout curtains and was thrilled when I found this item on Amazon. I read all of the reviews and decided to order them and give it a try. If it didn’t work, well then I would try something else. But! It works! It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! It is about 95 to 98 degrees outside and our bedroom was reading at 82 degrees with the air cranked down to 72. Right now our bedroom is at a very comfortable 73 degrees and has stayed under 76 during the day when the sun is beating at the windows. It is really amazing that the room is nice and dark during the day whereas before there was way too much sunlight. I read a lot of the reviews and they really helped me make my purchase and I also bought an extra box of drapery hooks as many people wrote that they wished they had bought more. I did try to pin on the liner to my curtains and it did work out great but I just did not like them because they were not flush with the window and did allow some light to come in. I also read where some people sewed the liners onto their curtains and thought about doing that but then decided to just buy an extra rod and hang the liners behind my curtains and that did the trick. It looks nice, it blocks out the light and heat and they are not permanent to existing curtains. I love how much they work! I still can’t believe the difference it has made and how much it has helped. I am sure our electric bill will be much lower in the months to come. If anyone is considering buying these liners, I would strongly recommend them because hands down they are amazing! Some reviews commented on an odor emitting from these liners and others ones I looked at. I can say that there is no odor at all. They look alot like shower curtains to me and are made of a very sturdy material. They also include velcro so that you can close the curtains shut in the middle. They were worth every penny and I will be purchasing a few more for the rest of the house. I would recommend these to anyone that has a room that is hot due to the sunlight.

Purchased a second pair!
I received the 96" liners yesterday and am pleased enough that I ordered another pair this morning. My bedroom is on the east side of the house and I don't always want to rise with the sun. I read the reviews which is why I only initially purchased one pair. Pointers 1. Some have likely not read instructions. The liners DO cover the window, they just are not the same width of the curtain. If you place the curtain on your rod first and gather it to fit the window, and then attach the liner, you will find that the liner perfectly fits the gathered curtain and then window. 2. As far as wrinkles, I had none after following the instructions of placing them in the dryer with a damp cloth for 20 min. I used an extra low setting. 3. As far as a chemical smell - I have a pretty sensitive nose and could only barely detect a scent and that was with getting very close to my face. 4. Thermal power. I do not think these claim to be thermal. There was maybe a degree or so difference between the lined panels and unlined. The good The liner does darken the room The liner's have a good weight. Pins are included. Use of liners allows you to keep the panels you already have and like. Cons None noted. Some light bleeds around the curtain, but this is because of my rod, not the liner. I can fix that. Also, some light will seep through where the liner's and curtains meet in the middle. On the window that can stay closed I pinned the middle closed with straight pins. On the ones I just ordered, I will live with the seepage because I open those panels and blinds daily. In summary - recommended for blocking light with the a wrap around rod.

Good black out panel for basic use
I purchased these to use in our master bedroom, in order to keep the room dark for my daughter's naps. She is a few months old and still sleeps in her pack & play. We have large french doors that lead to the outside, and our current curtains said they were black out curtains... but they still let some light in. Overall these panels worked pretty well. Here are a few pros/cons. Pros - It really does black out the light when used properly. Since they are only 27" wide they covered the portion of the door that lets in light for us, which was approx 24". However, the panel doesn't cover the entire width of the curtain. When putting the panel on the curtain I started from the middle. - It was very easy to install. I put the hooks on under where the grommets were on my drapery panels. Then the black out panel has loops that hooked right on to the hooks. Cons - It did come with a strong smell. I decided to wash it first to get the smell down, and that seemed to help. You just wash it in cold water, and the directions say to line dry, but I tumble dried it on very low and it seemed fine. - Since it is 27" wide, sometimes my curtains have to be pulled perfectly lined up for the panel to cover the window portion of the door. I wish they offered a wider size. I know some people use 2 panels, and I actually purchased 2 sets just for that reason, but ended up using one. Overall a pretty good product, and it did what it needed to do!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
I purchased two beautiful pleated curtains for my double sliding glass doors that take up a whole wall facing the south (so all day sunlight) in my bedroom (151"), we really wanted something that can block noise (approximately 1 block from a state highway), block light and reduce heat and wanted it up on a traverse rod (so opening and closing could be with ease)! Installed and hung curtains with drapery pins onto the rings above the clips on my traverse rod. They blocked noise perfectly, slight light penetrations, but no heat reduction at all due to the brown backing they actually retained heat. With the heat part being our biggest concern after just a week in use we needed to nip it in the bud prior to summer, so we purchased these eclipse Thermaliner black out reflective white liners. The liners come in small panels, 2 panels per package, it takes 3 panels per sliding glass door, so 6 total for mine. Hung the liners up using the clips that were hanging from the traverse rod, drapery clips are hung in the holes just above them. The string hooks were not strong enough so I hung straight from the material. They land just above my curtains so you cannot see them. Especially love that they velcro together to make it even more seamless, although only 2 will velcro. Recommend the manufacturer adding the opposing velcro to the other sides so when there are more than 2 they can continue to be seamless. It works amazingly for the heat, and an extra barrier to make even more light and sound reductions as well! Just added cost to our overall project but totally worth the money! We are very happy with the final outcome and would definitely recommend! Photos show before and after liner, velcro'd pieces, length, how I hung them on my traverse rod clips, and final project finished. Products used for total project: 2 Eclipse 100x84 pleased curtains: Eclipse Curtains Thermal Blackout 100 x 84-inch Polyester Patio Door Curtain Panel, Espresso 3 packs of Drapery Hooks (for main pleated curtains): Dritz 44325 Slip On Drapery Hooks, 3-Inch, 14-Pack 2 Traverse Rods (installed together): Decopolitan Square Traverse Window Treatment Rod, 72 to 144-Inch, Espresso 3 packs of these Blackout liners: Eclipse Thermaliner Blackout Panel Pair, White.

As advertised, but poor design
The panels do a good job of blocking sunlight, and I have now installed 6 sets of these. Cons The design leaves something to be desired. Two 27inch wide blackout liner panels instead of a single 54 inch panel means that you have to coordinate an overlap of material in the center of the curtain, which inevitably leaves a line of light working its way through the curtain. The panels are affixed to the main curtain by a series of metal hooks which are inserted into the fabric. You then hang a series of yarn rings on the top of the blackout panel over these hooks. When I attempted to install the panels the first time, the minute I went to move the curtain all of the loops lifted off of the metal hooks and I was left with half of the panel hanging off. My solution was a pair of pliers. I closed the hooks into a "&" shape so that the yarn loops couldn't lift of so easily. Once I figured out this trick I was able to install all of the panels successfully. I think the hook design is a real downside to the functionality of the panels and think the manufacturer should reconsider using a lock top hook so that the panels cannot come unhooked. I have also had to install some safety pins to keep them from gaping at certain spots since again, you are installing 2 stiff blackout panels to the back of 1 cloth curtain. The product works, and it is sold as described, but I think the amount of effort required to make it function satisfactorily should be considered by buyers who may have less resources or extra sets of hands to help.

Exactly what we were looking for!
Our youngest daughter goes to bed around 6:30pm every night and now that "spring forward" has happened, the days are getting longer, and the suns still out when she goes to bed. Of course she's been thinking she's just laying down for a nap since then, so we were trying to figure out what we could do to make it less bright in her room to help her sleep! This is essential since the days are going to continue to get longer all through the summer too! We already have some great curtains that we love in her nursery, so I didn't want to change them, and didn't want to have to put more up behind that because we also have sheer curtains too. These liners are perfect! They were super easy to put on, the instructions weren't very clear, but you can figure it out. I think it only took me about 15 minutes to make sure I had the hooks on correctly, and to actually hang the liners on each curtain. Be aware that you will need 1 pack of liners for EACH curtain. Luckily I had read reviews before purchasing and got two packs for ours. Each pack has TWO liners for ONE curtain. Hooks are included as well. They are sharp so be careful if you are putting them on around little ones. I would say overall, it blocked about 90% of the sunlight. You could still see it coming through some in the middle of the two curtains meeting, the sides, and the top/bottom of the curtains. But overall, I feel like this is going to be a BIG help with helping her sleep!

Not Dark Enough
I had pretty light curtains up and the sun and heat would wake me everyday. I got these as a liner to my existing curtains. They definitely helped, the room did get darker, however it was still pretty bright. I wouldn’t use them as stand alone curtains as they aren’t very attractive, however as a backing they work. The white was a little dingy but still white, so it worked. Overall for heat reduction I would say 9/10 (even in 85° weather daily). Light reduction 7/10. Functionally light reduction not black out.

I am happy I bought them anyway
These panels are quite narrow in reality although the measurements appeared to fit my rather narrow window.. I hung them from the rail behind my curtains and they do blot out most of the street/daylight, so are doing what they are expected to do to a certain extent. I am happy I bought them anyway.

Exactly what I needed!
These are decent quality and very easy to "install". They give our current drapes a much heavier, nicer look and black out the room of natural light when we need that. I was really impressed - I was expecting poor quality and little blackout - and these are a great product.
